🏔️Cosmogony

Long ago, there existed only Anazir, the master of balance and source of life, a complete being yet alone, possessing everything and nothing simultaneously.

This primordial entity, in its desire to forever break the monotonous cycle of its infinite existence, decided to fragment its omnipotence and infuse it into a runic alphabet.

Each Rune possessed a pure and unique energy, so vast in quantity that it was believed to be infinite.

This energy stemmed from an intense but balanced conflict between the opposing emotions and sentiments embedded in the Runes by their creator.

Once his work was completed, Anazir proudly fell asleep to regain his strength, hoping to one day meet the fruits of his creation in a distant future.

To watch over his work during this long slumber, he took the form of countless planets scattered across the universe, creating a fertile ground for the development of these new energies.

The Runes were dispersed throughout the galaxy, and four of them, near the center of the grand creation, gave birth to Gods. They possessed unique appearances and fabulous gifts capable of shaping the environment.

The goddess of water, Hydros, radiated a soft turquoise and crystalline glow. Her entire being also shone with immense wisdom, a trait highlighted by her legendary calmness. However, she could be moody, a true lunatic who should be feared like the calm before the storm.

Linked to the element of earth, the goddess Gaia blended perfectly into her environment with her body mixing plant and mineral materials. Her constant good mood betrayed a naïve outlook on the world. Unfortunately, this divine being did not sufficiently consider the consequences of her actions, which could cause harm despite her good intentions.

Of great finesse and unmatched agility, the god of wind was named Zephyr. His light tones allowed him to blend into the sky with his speed. This being was not lacking in ambition, which could have been a good thing if it weren't accompanied by sickening narcissism. No creation is perfect.

The last of the gods known today belonged to the element of fire and was named Hepha. Anazir was proud of this being of black stones, for he showed great curiosity about the world. He did not hesitate to undertake research to learn more. Alas, this insatiable thirst for knowledge took root in a tortured soul. Hepha was endowed with malice and a lack of restraint, making him difficult for the other gods to control.

The Great War

Despite the prohibitions of his counterparts, the god of fire delved into runic magic in pursuit of the supreme knowledge that had given them birth. His increasingly ambitious research and experiments left destroyed planets and worlds consumed of all energy in their wake, the source of which was none other than the sleeping being who had given them birth.

Seeing that Hepha sought to find the lost Runes that had not yet given birth to their sibling deities, Gaia, concerned with maintaining the balance inherited from Anazir, hid the gods to come before the sinister passage of the stubborn scientist.

Hepha, then desperately lacking test subjects for his experiments, consumed by impatience, decided to use his own Rune, forever altering his body. Immortal flames erupted from his being, revealing the forbidden research his unhealthy curiosity had driven him to. However, instead of trying to reason with him or even help him, the other gods, disgusted at the sight of their brother, abandoned him to his sad fate. This provoked a terrible anger in Hepha, which grew and grew until it irreparably broke the balance of the universe, triggering the first War of the Cosmos.

Trapped in his regenerative slumber, Anazir could only watch, sad and powerless, as the conflict tore apart Hydros, Gaia, and Zephyr against the transfigured Hepha.

More powerful than ever, thanks to his newfound ability to absorb energy from his environment, Hepha sucked in and enslaved everything in his path. Where once thrived planets with fertile landscapes and lush forests, only deserts of ashes remained.

Armed with his legion of enslaved creatures, the renegade deity exploited the conquered worlds by placing monolithic structures, converting the planets' energy into a swarming legion of mass-produced golems.

Seeing his omnipotence corrupted by the schemes of his rebellious offspring, Anazir, unable to participate in the conflict himself, granted the protector gods the ability to draw from his cosmic energy to produce armies of soldier golems.

Hydros, Gaia, and Zephyr defeated the chaotic offspring, who was banished to a prison planet named Ignis, as dark as it was violent. His body, along with those of his heirs, would forever bear the scars of the war.

From the violence of this war was born the Crystallium, a powerful energy source. The clash of battles released incredible masses of matter that formed a new planet, Crystallis. According to legend, it is filled with white crystals as tall as mountains. Alas, a blinding light enveloped the place, preventing anyone from reaching it.

The gods were literally exhausted by this long battle, and each returned to their planet to create a place where they could rest. Sanctuaries thus came into being, and the divine beings fell asleep. Energy emanated from them during their slumber, leading to the creation of golems. These inherited characteristics inherent to the planet they were on and thus to their creator.

On neutral planets, many golems appeared, devoid of their own will. They were perfect vassals for hosting the elemental energies of the other gods, but especially creatures wonderfully adapted to live in this universe emerging from a period of war. Would it move towards a period of peace? Only the future will tell.

The World Today

In Anazir's world, filled with runic magic, elemental gods clash using their heroes and armies. This universe comprises a multitude of planets populated by various types of golems. Each star contains at its core Crystallium, an extremely powerful energy source that allows life to persist in this galaxy.

However, Crystallium is not an infinite energy source. To obtain it, it must be won in the Equilibrium, a place created by the gods that defies space and time. Each planet sends its best fighters to win battles and thus obtain as much energy as possible, allowing the maintenance of life on the concerned star, but also offering its god great renown.

In the bowels of the planet Ignis, Hepha, the god of fire, has been imprisoned. His anger towards the other deities has turned the surface of his prison into an infernal burning chaos. Volcanoes constantly erupt, as if to mark his cries of rage, making the atmosphere suffocating. Fiery rains regularly drench the true blaze that constitutes the ground. The dark golems born on Ignis are called Ifaar. Their bodies are a mixture of incandescent rocks and fire.

Hydros, the goddess of water, has created her own planet covered in aqueous expanses, the blue Thétis. Time seems to have stopped there, as if frozen by ice, and life does not shine with vitality. Numerous biomes divide the star into territories, from icy seas with an Arctic climate to more temperate rocky beaches, passing through the unfathomable Abysses. Made of water and eroded rocks, the native golems are called Hadaar.

With her last strength, Gaia, goddess of the earth, gave life to Humus. Her planet represents a marvelous terrestrial environment, with as many mountains as forests, but also plains stretching as far as the eye can see. Life abounds there more than on any other star in the galaxy. The Tehaar are the local golems, composed of earth, wood, rock, and even plants. These beings are joyful, curious, and especially in perfect harmony with the other life forms of Humus, like the Lumens, for example. These small winged creatures are born in the wake of the hero Helak, a mix of small stones and radiant crystals.

Typhon, a planet so foggy that its ground is indistinguishable, was created by the god of air, Zephyr. On its unstable lands, numerous tornadoes rage, as well as violent storms spanning several thousand kilometers. The planet's crust is fragmented into a myriad of floating archipelagos, trapped by Typhon's perpetual hurricanes. An alliance of jagged rocks and mist, the Kaitaar, golems native to this star, survive as best they can in a world where the law of the strongest is the only rule.

Apart from Ignis, where Hepha is imprisoned, it is said that the other three gods each sleep on their respective planet, deep in a temple. This situation has lasted since the great war that almost destroyed the entire universe. The Original God, Anazir, has withdrawn since that dark time. It is said that he watches over his creation from a mysterious place, but no one has ever managed to prove this legend.

The Heroes

Mahlak

"No obstacle will prevent me from fulfilling my master's will."

On the chaotic planet Ignis, the hero of fire, the dark Mahlak, wreaks havoc. He reveres his creator, the god Hepha, and like him, sows misfortune and destruction in his path. His terrifying appearance comes from long years of self-mutilation of his own body. Driven by his desire to bring destruction, Mahlak has transformed into a being of terrifying deformity. His goal is to lead the world to its ruin by causing the destruction of all living beings. This hero wants everyone to feel the unfathomable chaos in which his god is irrevocably trapped.

Helak

"To me, life is more precious than Crystallium."

The hero of the planet Humus, associated with the element of earth, is named Helak. He is a being of unwavering positivity towards the world around him. Hating to overthink, he wishes to live as freely as possible, without asking too many questions. Under his skipping steps, life bursts forth through the humus, and vegetation blooms more beautifully. Despite his rather imposing stature, he moves with an almost indecent lightness, as if his body were made of a material lighter than air, perhaps because of the fairy-like aura that envelops his being. A regular tinkling accompanies his arrival. Lumens, small creatures made of small stones and crystals, are born in his wake, contributing to the life cycle of his planet.

Aeryon

"There are two possibilities on this planet: either you become strong, or your existence ceases."

The infernal storms of the planet Typhon created the hero Aeryon, naturally associated with the element of air. His being has adapted to the extreme pressure differences of his habitat, and he does not fear the most powerful air currents. His thoughts rush like the zephyr, and he cannot remain inactive; he needs action, even if it means regularly putting himself in danger. Cutting through the skies with the grace of the trade winds, Aeryon flies from one aerial archipelago to another to impose his law. This hero tries to assert the supremacy of his strength over the indomitable local golems.

Razan

"If you let anger consume you, then you are no better than these fire golems."

From the depths of Thétis, Razan is none other than the hero of water. His body is composed of sublime translucent blue crystals, created by the extreme pressures exerted by his planet's deep seas. From the interstices of his rocky muscles flows water of great purity. In his eyes, whose depth rivals the oceans of Thétis, one can read great wisdom. Razan knows how to remain calm in all circumstances, which does not prevent him from being a very powerful warrior, as his titanic appearance easily demonstrates. The water hero's position as clan leader is not by chance but due to his many skills.
